Bio

Part of a new wave of DJs in England, OR:LA has breathed fresh life into Liverpool’s electronic scene. As both the organiser of the Meine Nacht nights on Merseyside and the co-founder of the Deep Sea Frequency label (her 2017 two-track Kyoto Dance was its debut release), to say that Orlagh Dooley has more than one string to her bow would be an understatement. Drawing from an immensely broad musical spectrum taking in UK bass, tribal house, deep, breakbeat, acid and 90s techno, in addition to an impressive range of technical skills, OR:LA is set to become an omnipresent fixture in 2018.

The buzz surrounding the young artist from Derry really exploded in the aftermath of her incredible, attention-grabbing appearance at Aca Festival, a set that subsequently became one of 2017’s most viewed clips on Boiler Room. With meticulous precision, OR:LA thrillingly demonstrated – in a little under an hour – the full extent of her talent and the depth of her music knowledge. The landmark performance deservedly propelled this Irish DJ to the forefront of the European scene. And mark our words: she looks set to be around for some time yet.
