Objekt is an artist unlike any other. The Berlin-based Englishman is one of the most acclaimed DJs and producers of recent years. A renowned perfectionist, both in the studio and behind the decks, he is capable of creating captivating music that brims with imaginative melodies, unexpected arrangements and unstructured beats.
In the DJ booth, he has an unparalleled ability to layer breakbeat, electro, acid, noise and EDM sounds on top of a techno base. Yet nowhere is his English heritage more evident than on his own stereo recordings, including the exceptional Agnes Demise and Cactus, both released on Hessle Audio.
Having remixed SBTRKT on Young Turks, collaborated on a split 12” with Dopplereffekt, released an album on PAN and published an anonymous composition (The Stitch-Up), it is safe to say that this is one artist who is determined to follow his own path.
