Bio
A child of Frankfurt who spent his teenage years absorbing the creative energy of the city’s punk scene, Monoloc first started DJing in 1996. Following over a decade devoted to fine-tuning his musical identity, he eventually released a debut EP on Smallroom Music in 2008. While his music back then bore more than a passing resemblance to contempories such as Kompakt and Chris Liebing, Monoloc’s sound has since gravitated towards the darkest reaches of techno: industrial, murky and entirely in keeping with the vibe championed by his label Dystopian.
