Tinkerman extraordinaire, genius producer, peerless DJ and aesthete par excellence, these short lines are simply not enough to even begin to do justice to the capabilities of Strahil Velchev, a.k.a. KiNK. Frenetically hopping from one live session to the next, a mile-wide grin pasted on his face, slapping sellotape to vinyl to create his latest unusual loop, KiNK can only really be described as one of a kind. And these days, the scale of his influence is fast catching up with his seemingly limitless charisma and inventiveness, as an entire generation of new bedroom producers dutifully cite the Bulgarian as a key source of inspiration.
The author of a succession of seminal tracks released on the likes of Royal Oak, Running Back, Ovum and Sharivari Records, KiNK has been an immovable fixture on the electronic landscape since he first emerged in 2005. His Closing Day performance at Le Sucre is set to go down in the annals of the great Nuits Sonores sets, and will be a suitably epic way to draw the curtain on this 16th edition.
