It’s hard to put Hunee’s exhilarating rise into words. Content for many years to stay in the shadows of the soulful house tracks he released on prestigious labels such as Rush Hour, Future Times and Dekmantel, Hunee also curated Sounds from the Far East and masterminded Soichi Terada’s sensational global comeback. Unstoppable since 2014, Hun Choi (to address him by his real name) released Hunch Music on Rush Hour in 2015, a soulful gem of a debut album driven along by an organic groove and acid crescendos.
