Life & Death’s founder and director Manfredi Romano has one of the most astute pairs of ears around. The proof? With 60 releases to its name by the likes of Stephan Bodzin, Mind Against, Recondite, Maceo Plex and Red Axes, his label is generally accepted to be a key reference point for European house music.
A gifted producer with years of experience, Manfredi has also released a number of his own recordings on the likes of Kompakt, Rhythm Assault and The Vinyl Factory, in addition to recently contributing to the all-new Disco Halal catalogue. In the DJ booth, meanwhile, he delivers hot, exuberant, brazen slices of nocturnal frenzy that are routinely met with the adulation of his dancefloors. In 2017, he joined forces with Marvin & Guy to create the Life of Marvin imprint, which went on to release a track by recently deceased producer Roberto Zolezzi – alias Roby J, a true legend of Italian techno. He will once more be in the company of the Italian duo as he arrives in Lyon to perform this Special Event concert at Le Sucre.
