The remarkable speed at which Baltra’s career has taken off since 2014 is matched only by the delicacy and sensitivity of his smoky lo-fi house sound. The New Yorker is the founder of 96 And Forever, the label that released his immense No Regrets in 2016, a cassette EP that was subsequently reissued on double vinyl by London-based imprint Of Paradise in autumn 2017. His live set at Nuits Sonores will be his first ever performance in Lyon.
