Although still young, Amelie Lens is already well acquainted with the stars. In the matter of months that have passed since her meteoric rise to the summit of the charts – following her releases on Drumcode and Second State (Pan-Pot’s label) – she has become the standard-bearer for a sombre and uninhibited techno scene.
Yet her recordings only tell half the story. In the DJ booth, Amelie Lens is used to the crowds eating from the palm of her hand, as she lays down relentless tracks mixed together with a dexterity envied by even her most experienced peers. One thing is for sure: this is one stratospheric rise that shows absolutely no sign of tailing off.
