Bio

From a childhood in Lille to settling down in Paris, via a formative period in Nantes (including spells as a member of Pégase, Rhum For Pauline and Elephanz), Thibaud Vanhooland has spent a lifetime honing his music. And right now, he is as close to French pop perfection as you are likely to find. Presently flying solo under the moniker Voyou, this versatile artist has just released his first EP, Seul sur ton tandem, on the excellent Enterprise record label. An accomplished trumpeter, Voyou’s live sound is full-bodied and unhinged: think a pop sound à la Caribou and The XX, with an electro edge.
