guitarist Joe Evans and demonic drummer Pete Dio have gone back to basics and returned to the roots of American rhythm ‘n’ blues with Claw Machine Wizard, their sixth album on Alive Records (James Leg, Radio Moscow, Buffalo Killers). Continuing to ‘trash’ the blues, the group’s wild riffs and unstoppable groove remain fully intact. Transgressive yet respectful of traditions, it would be no surprise to hear their music soundtracking a series like Breaking Bad or Banshee, slicing through the visual backdrop of arid landscapes and blazing sunshine. Making a triumphant return to Lyon following a sold out show at the Marché Gare, the duo from Fort Wayne will be back to shred the eardrums once more this May.
