Cømpass, otherwise known as Pascal Roeder, has been delivering pure, uncompromising techno since 2015. Known for his hypnotic live sets, the Lyon-based producer has attracted a loyal following, as well as plaudits from European techno royalty such as Marcel Dettmann, Speedy J, Answer Code Request, Nina Kraviz and Len Faki.
His Virgo EP, released on Mutewax in 2015, oscillates thrillingly between dark and dub techno with the occasional acid flourish – in other words, a dance banger of the highest quality. Heavily influenced by the Berlin scene, Cømpass’ music would sound comfortably at home in the land of industrial techno and wild rave. His heart, however, remains firmly rooted in his native Lyon, where he will perform at Ninkasi Kao as part of N2/Le Circuit.
