Bio
In a world where the delicacy of melody is sometimes forced to play second fiddle to the brutality of machines, Rone is content to forge a solo path, using sound to map out the contours of his own musical universe.
From Spanish Breakfast (2009) to Mirapolis (2017), Erwan Castex has progressively revealed the extent of his artistic sensibility in a series of albums of rare creativity. By working with not only Etienne Daho and Jean Michel Jarre, but also author Alain Damasio (notably on their memorable Bora Vocal collaboration), Rone has enriched his output and broadened the horizons of the electronic music that he composes.
Famous for his intense live sets, he has won the prestigious Best Live Set of the Year award for a performance at the Philharmonie de Paris. Forever preoccupied with the visual dimension of his music, his latest album Mirapolis transports us to the heart of a city designed by Michel Gondry. A city to which only he holds the keys.
